WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides care and services to residents under the supervision of a nurse.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the resident with activities of daily living
- Recognizes residents’ strengths and uses rehabilitative nursing techniques to restore or maintain independence
- Reports observations to Nurse concerning the residents’ condition or activities
- Assist in meeting the resident’s emotional needs.
- Assists in provision of a safe and clean environment
- Participates as team member in inter disciplinary care conference as requested.
- Transports residents from one nursing unit to another.
- Attends staff development programs related to job responsibilities and maintains educational requirements needed for certifications.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Previous health care experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
