WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides care and services to residents under the supervision of a nurse.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the resident with activities of daily living
  • Recognizes residents’ strengths and uses rehabilitative nursing techniques to restore or maintain independence
  • Reports observations to Nurse concerning the residents’ condition or activities
  • Assist in meeting the resident’s emotional needs.
  • Assists in provision of a safe and clean environment
  • Participates as team member in inter disciplinary care conference as requested.
  • Transports residents from one nursing unit to another.
  • Attends staff development programs related to job responsibilities and maintains educational requirements needed for certifications.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Previous health care experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
