Summary
The Call Center Representative is responsible for handling calls that come into Delaware County Health Department’s call center operations and providing accurate information to each caller. This Call Center is operated out of the Delaware County Health Department five days a week to provide support to the clinical community and the public. This role will be responsible for responding to both calls and emails during specific shifts and assisting in scheduling of clinic appointments. This is an hourly, nonexempt position.
Essential Duties
- Answers and manages calls that come into the Call Center during each assigned shift.
- Answers and manages emails that come into the Call Center inbox during each assigned shift.
- Enters all contacts into the database for tracking calls and follows procedures for reporting issues.
- Refers callers to the appropriate department staff or external resource efficiently, and professionally prioritizing a warm and responsive customer service approach.
- Communicates trends and recurring issues to the Call Center Coordinator in a timely and clear manner.
- Refers crisis calls to appropriate resources quickly and calmly, keeping the Call Center Coordinator informed and requesting support as needed.
- Keeps up-to-date on information and resources available across the County for providers and the general public.
- Connects callers and emails with clinical providers in consultation with the Call Center Coordinator.
- Utilizes call center software to track all contacts.
- Assists callers in scheduling clinic appointments.
- Participates in mandatory department meetings and assignments per accreditation requirements, including workgroups and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Performs all other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide resources for Maternal-Child Health (MCH) and immunizations issues in the County of Delaware. This will be accomplished by care and education to target populations, as well as actively be involved with program development to meet present and future health needs of community involving Maternal-Child Health.
Essential Duties
- Staff supervision and oversight including assigning, reviewing, evaluating and monitoring productivity of the work of the MCH Staff.
- Day-to-day supervision, monitoring staff productivity, ensuring appropriate staffing levels at all times, hiring and training new staff, performance planning and assessment, planning and convening staff meetings.
- Providing clinical expertise and guidance to ensure quality Maternal Child Health services are delivered.
- Working with Personal Health Administrator on program planning, policy development, and budget planning.
- Serves as a lead program administrator for multiple required and suggested activities as defined in the workplan for the DCHD-funded Immunizations and Vaccines for Children grant.
- Implement vaccine management and accountability policies as defined through the annual program grant.
- Implements policy and plan for routine use of 317-funded vaccine only for individuals who are not fully insured with respect to vaccine. Plan must adhere to guidance set forth in "Use of Vaccine Purchased with 317 Funds".
- Maintains an inventory of provider education for CDC compliance. Ensures that all staff in the program keep this inventory current. Uses this inventory to plan for and implement future education efforts for the program.
- Designs and establishes quality assurance protocols to increase Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program efficiency.
- Manages the Title V Block grant by ensuring that deliverables are met by the end of each reporting year.
- Oversees VFC providers compliance reviews and IQIP program and serves as back-up to IQIP specialist.
- Perform other duties, tasks, and special projects, as required.
- Answer after-hours call according to protocol.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours required for special events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (BSN), Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university in Nursing (MSN).
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN), issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- Current CPR / First Aid certification.
- Knowledgeable in all areas of maternal child health and Vaccines for Children.

Essential Duties
- Builds relationships and implements strategies with community-based organizations engaged in health education and health-related services to impact the health and preparedness of residents in Delaware County.
- Provides coordination assistance for agencies and community partners working on the Community Health Assessment (CHA) and the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).
- Develop and implements work plans to address goals, objectives, and strategies for improving health priorities identified through the CHIP and DCHD, and monitors progress.

Description of Work
This supervisory position coordinates the secretarial workload for the clerical department for Children and Youth Services.
